Let’s face it, piano lessons require both a financial and time commitment. As with everything we do in our lives, foundation is key to success. Choosing an experienced teacher can give you the foundation to be set up for success as a musician. We believe this success is achieved with a combination of the desire to learn the piano, understanding of the notation, ease of technique and performance ability, all set with positive learning experiences and enhanced with modern technology.

Foundation is everything! We believe we can help merge these elements for an individualized, customized learning approach.

Experience has taught us that every individual learns in their own way and at their own rate.  This rate is determined by past musical experiences, age, natural abilities, level of musical awareness/exposure, eagerness, and current life circumstances.

Experience has also taught us that since students learn differently from one another, it is most beneficial that the teacher is able to use various concepts or analogies to teach about certain concepts. Fortunately, over the years, we have found many ways to teach specific concepts using various analogies and concepts.

Experience guides us as teachers to find the balance of “having a fun musical lesson” yet directing and motivating students to master musical concepts that do ultimately require dedication and mastery (hard work). Finding that balance of fun and motivation will be the component that sparks passion, enjoyment, and longevity to this art.

Studies can include:

• Royal Conservatory exam preparation
• Popular music and contemporary Christian music
• All lessons include technique instruction (Ex. Scales, Chords, Arpeggios) as these are the foundation of all of our playing
• Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading with extended lesson time
• Rhythm studies and training
• University Preparedness Exam
